Award-winning Afrobeat artiste Kelvyn Boy has made a plea to the music industry and general public to honour ace Gospel muscian Cindy Thompson. He made this request in a tweet. "Cindy Thompson!! That woman should be celebrated if she's still alive! Wild Gospel Discography!!!. He stated. Cindy Thompson, now Cindy Quainoo shot to fame with her song "Awurade Kasa" which was used by the New Patriotic Party in 2001 for political campaign. Apart from "Awurade Kasa", she has numerous song like Dromo sonn, Anwawa do, Nkunimdie, Awurade Bohye, Kwankyerefo Jesus and many more. Cindy has five albums to her credit, notable among them being her 1998 "Onokwafo Nyame" album and 2000 "Cindy's Messiah" album. She has featured on a number of albums such as one by contemporary musician, Nana Kojo, titled "Woye Kronkron". Cindy has won a number of awards, cluding Gospel Song of the Year 2000, Gospel Album of the Year, Best Female Vocal Performance, Gospel Song of the Period (2000 - 2002), Gospel Album of the Period (2000 - 2002), Best Praise Song of the Period (2000 - 2002) and Outstanding Artist of the Year.
