Lighthouse Chapel revokes car gift to former bishop, drags him to police
The Lighthouse Chapel International (LCI) has withdrawn a car gifted to former bishop Kwame Yirenkyi Ampofo after he became the subject of a police investigation for allegedly stealing the car.
The Chevrolet Tahoe was given to Bishop Ampofo in 2016, but the church claims he began attacking and insulting the church, leading to the revocation of the gift.
The church explained in a letter that it had not yet transferred ownership of the car and had the right to change its mind, citing his behavior towards the church as the reason for revoking the gift.
Since his dismissal, Bishop Ampofo has renounced his title and accused the church of unbiblical practices on social media.
