People in Tema may die one day — Dr. Lawrence Tettey
The President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach (WMO), Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, has admonished the State to take water spillages in the country seriously before calamity befalls the people.
According to the Evangelist, people in the coastal areas of Ghana risk losing their lives if nothing is done by the government to ameliorate the recent Akosombo dam spillage, which has rendered almost 2,000 people homeless.
“As we speak today, if care is not taken, one day the whole of Tema will be swept away because remember water is heavier than anything.
“So we need to look at the spillage holistically. [and] I’ve been concerned about the way we politicized the situation because people’s lives are at stake”, a report by StarrFM quoted the renowned clergy.
The Economist and Preacher describes the Akosombo dam spillage as ‘technical’ which needed to be fixed immediately by managers of the dam.
