God chooses king and he will help the NPP break the 8 – Diana Asamoah
Notwithstanding the challenges Ghanaians are facing, seasoned gospel singer Diana Asamoah has expressed hope about the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) prospects of holding onto power for a third term.
She asserts that the NPP will break the eight to maintain its grip on power, even though the nation is currently facing numerous issues, including economic difficulties.
The gospel singer asked Ghanaians to be patient with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo while he implemented initiatives to turn around the flagging economy.
Regarding the possibility of the NPP breaking the eight, she remarked, “It shall come to pass, and God will help us (the NPP) to break the eight and continue the governance in Jesus name.’’

“With the rate of the dollar, God has been good to us because the whole world was battling with COVID-19, so hardship exists everywhere. We are now striving to recover the economy,” she noted in an interview on Kingdom FM, which was monitored by GX GH.
“The foreign countries are using revenue from taxes to improve the country. In Ghana, if you decide to tax people, the way and manner they would insult the government.’’
“I pay taxes all the time. So Ghanaians should exercise patience for the government to put measures in place to stabilize the economy,’’ she added.
But Diana made it clear that she would be okay with whoever won the NPP primary and that she did not favor any of the candidates.
