How do you expect the youth to learn from you? – Diana Asamoah to Otumfuo and Dormaahene over public scandal
Diana Asamoah, a seasoned gospel musician, expressed her views on the prevailing controversy involving Otumfuoe Osei Tutu II, the Overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom, and the Traditional Ruler of Dormaa, Osaagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, regarding their kingship’s sovereignty.
Given their reputations and national significance, she believes that the public spat between these two well-respected figures does not bode well for their standing in society.
She conceded that the conflict supports biblical prophecy, according to which nations will rise against one another in the last days to compete for supremacy over others; for this reason, it is not wholly surprising.
Diana chastised Otumfuo and Dormaahene for their impolite behavior in a TV3 interview with Berla Mundi that was monitored by GX GH, She said that this behavior is not having a favorable impact on the next generation.
“Apart from what I am saying, if you study the Bible very well, you will never speak against any authority because it says nations will rise against nations and also kingdoms will rise against each other.’’
She continued, “Let’s look at what is happening in Ghana now—what has Asantehene done to Dormaahene and who wronged the other. These are prominent people in the society that we are imitating, yet look at what they are doing today. It is not good, but people have politicized it.’’
“The Bible said it in 2 Timothy 3:1–5, ‘Know that in the last days, hard times will come and men will be proud’ because everyone wants to feel big. Also, men will be money-drunk, and today, because of money, a parent can raise their child without any remorse. Because of that, fetish priests have turned into pastors,’’ she added.
