Most married men die early – Kumchacha's advise to the Youth
The founder and senior pastor of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Kumchacha, has counseled young people—particularly men—against court marriage.
In his opinion, the majority of men who choose to have a white wedding after their traditional marriage typically pass very young.
Speaking in an interview on Kingdom FM, which was monitored by GX GH, Prophet Kumchacha noted that most women who put pressure on men to be married are considering what property they would inherit in the event of a divorce or the man’s death.
“I consider a wedding or court marriage foolishness. If you take ten men who have done weddings, seven of them die early. I would never do a wedding; why should I do it?’’ he asked.
“Only four out of six men who do weddings are wise; the rest are fools. I am saying this because women of these days are very wise,’’ he noted.
He continued by outlining his reasons for believing that young men should adhere to conventional marriage and forgo getting married in order to protect their property in the event of a divorce from their spouses.
“After all, women marry famous men and then insist on the wedding. Then later, they would start misbehaving, and if you wanted to divorce, the court would demand that you give half of your property to the woman. I know a lady who married four rich men and divorced them because she wanted their properties.’’
“Marriage is a choice, so I would advise that you do the traditional one and forget the court because even if it collapses, you will still own your property. So for a young man at the age of 25 wanting to do a wedding, most of them die early,’’ he added.
