“My church went from 400 to 40 members.” – Cecilia Marfo In Tears
Cecilia Marfo, a gospel artist, laments the loss of her church, which had about 400 regular attendees at one point, to only 40 today.
She firmly believed that Kennedy Agyapong, the Assin Central Member of Parliament [MP], and Diana Asamoah, a fellow gospel musician, were the villains in her tragic story, and she said that this was all due to some earlier disagreements she had with them.
As she described the suffering she is forced to endure after many members from her church passed away, she experienced a moment of emotional instability and started crying during the PrimeMorning broadcast on Joyprime, which GX GH monitored.
Rosely Felli, the host, questioned Cecilia about whether Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong’s criticism about some gospel musicians has had an effect on her. This brought back painful memories, and she sobbed as she said, “What they have done, God will fight for me.” I had four hundred members. If I told you that there are fewer than 40 members remaining, would you believe me? I cry occasionally when I think about the church because I know that everyone will be held accountable.
Felli questioned Cecilia, “What Diana did pained you because she was like a sister to you, right?” after she had regained some composure. “I happily attended my sister Diana’s event when she invited me, but God told me to keep quiet because I’m not the judge,” she stated. More people than just members of my church turned to God for forgiveness through my music.
The gospel artist expressed that, although she was deeply disappointed and grieved about Diana Asamoah’s remarks against her in an earlier interview Zionfelix, she would let things go in accordance with what the Bible commands.
