Contemporary Ghanaian Gospel singer and songwriter, Nana Osei, widely known as Nacee, has recently opened up about the elements needed for Ghanaian artistes to reach international acclaim.
According to the ‘Aseda’ hitmaker, the major elements in the music circles for success extend beyond musical talent and include substantial financial support and the right international connections.
The singer, who is also a music producer, in an exclusive interview with Giovanni Caleb on TV3’s Showbiz 360 emphasized on the need for a huge financial support to effectively promote and distribute Ghanaian music on a global scale.
He further opined that Ghanaian artistes have beautiful talents and only need more connections with influential figures in the international music scene, stressing that right networking opens doors to collaborations, global partnerships, and exposure to new markets.
”We need huge financial support and the right connections to people internationally to promote our songs. We have very beautiful talents here in Ghana but if we don’t have enough financial support and good record labels to hold us down as well as having international plugs, we will finish the song and the song will just circulate here in Ghana,” he said.
The renowned singer then praised Ghanaians for being a strong support system to a lot of artists and further urged them to continue giving them (artists) their all.
