“Massively, social media has really come to change a lot in our gospel music industry,” Ohemaa Mercy said. “Now, at first you had to put out CDs and all that. Somebody needed to buy it before they could listen to your songs. But now you can be in your home and it can reach millions of people. So it has actually come to help.”
The gospel artist also pointed out the diversification within the genre. “There is a vast difference now. We even have more genres in gospel music, like the chanting, and the worshiping side. A lot of genres are coming into the gospel.
