Gospel Minister Kofi Owusu Peprah Mourns the Passing of His Father, Rev. George Owusu Mensah
This morning, Ghanaian gospel artist Kofi Owusu Peprah faced the heart-wrenching loss of his beloved father, Rev. George Owusu Mensah. A devoted pastor and gifted music composer, Rev. Mensah served as the Senior Pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Amakom, Kumasi, where he touched countless lives. Beyond his role as a spiritual leader, he was a pivotal figure in Kofi’s life, shaping his faith and music from a young age. As Kofi’s first music teacher and mentor, Rev. Mensah instilled in him both spiritual values and an enduring love for gospel music.
Rev. Mensah's compositions, such as Matwen Awurade Anim and Wo nkutoo na wos3 ayeyi s3 biribi wo aseda akyi aa, have left an indelible mark on Ghana’s gospel music landscape. His artistic and spiritual legacy will continue to resonate, inspiring many in the years to come.
Our hearts go out to Kofi Owusu Peprah and his family in this time of sorrow. May God’s grace and the love of those around them provide solace and strength.
